What does it mean to be a sponsor of LifeSong Ministries?

LifeSong Ministries is solely dependent upon the goodwill of individuals, groups, corporations and fund-raisers.

The primary audience that we desire to help is the under-served/under-privileged women in the Griffin-Spalding County, Georgia community. This means that many times the women who come to us do not have the funds to cover the expense of bringing about change in their lives. A sponsor helps make that possible.

A “sponsor,” for instance, may be a Sunday School class, sorority, or club that “adopts” a woman going through our training. The level of sponsorship is totally up to the sponsor. A sponsor may contribute towards the purchase of necessary training materials, personal needs, computer for participant (new or used), etc. Participant’s identities are kept confidential; however, sponsors do receive updates on the progress of their adoptee, along with prayer requests and other needs. Prayer sponsors for the ministry and individual participants are also crucial to success!

Another way to become a sponsor is to simply adopt the ministry and contribute according to your ability. Contributions to the ministry will fund the purchase of computers, office supplies and other operating expenses. If you are part of a corporation, you may want to hold a fund-raiser to raise the contribution. No salaries are drawn from the organization; therefore, 100% of all donations are used to improve the lives of our participants.

To sponsor a participant or the ministry in general means that you are making an investment in an individual life and in a community. As a sponsor you will be given the opportunity to be recognized as a partner in ministry on our “Links” page.

We hope that you will realize how easy it can be to invest in the life of another person. The return on your investment cannot be measured, but you can rejoice in the knowledge that you have remembered the poor and done what you could to help.
